Automatic Updates
View on GitHub- Automatic updates: when a new version is out, a notice appears at the bottom of the library screen. Press Update and the app downloads it, checks it, and restarts into the new version.
- Your files stay put: only program files are replaced. The
libraryfolder, settings (mmdx12.ini) and autosave recovery are left alone, and if anything fails along the way the old version keeps working.

glTF / VRM / FBX Models, Library Rework, Character Size
View on GitHubWhat changed
- glTF, VRM and FBX model support: Humanoid glTF/GLB/VRM/FBX models (VRoid/VRM, Mixamo, Ready Player Me and more) now dance to ordinary MMD motions (VMD). They are converted to MMD bones on load, with lip sync and blinking connected. glTF, FBX and OBJ scenes work as stages and are placed on their floor automatically. (Converted models don't have hair/skirt physics yet.)
- Better library organizing: The
libraryfolder now ships withcharacters, stagesandsongsfolders. Any other layout still works, and when several songs share one folder, audio and camera files are matched per song by length and file name. Right-click a card to use it as a character or a stage, or to hide it, or put anmmdx.jsonin a folder to decide yourself. - Character size: A new button in the play bar scales the character from 0.5x to 2x (saved per character). Use it for models that are too big or too small for a song's camera. Hair and skirt physics are unaffected.

View on GitHubWhat changed
- Volumetric Light Shafts (God Rays): Beautiful atmospheric light beams now stream through stage spotlights and sunlight openings.
- Performers and stage props now cast natural shadows across the light beams, producing dramatic silhouettes and a much richer stage atmosphere.
- A haze density setting around 1.0 to 1.5 is recommended for a balanced, natural atmosphere.
